together players and listeners of finger style guitar music.
If you're interested, you are cordially invited to contact us.
Our meetings are informal. You can get up and play, swap licks, or just listen. The kitchen is always open with some great homestyle food. For time and location, go to the events page and click on the address - a map will appear. So Y'all come. Bring your guitar, and an appetite!
Jim Ohlschmidt
The next meeting is Saturday, Oct 25th in Marietta. The incomparable Jim Ohlschmidt, formerly of Birmingham, Ala. now of Cincinnati, Ohio is to be our guest picker. He is a very learned and talented guitarist and has written numerous articles for Fingerstyle Guitar and other magazines of such nature. He and Clyde Kendrick were two of GFGA's first members in 1997and were involved with us for several years. Jim is a member of CAAS and has just finished a great new CD. Craig Dobbins just did a tablature of one of Jim's tunes entitled "Shiny side up" in Craig's latest edition of "Acoustic Guitar Workshop".
